Our Charities
At the International Women’s Club (IWC), our commitment to giving back to our host country and enhancing the lives of children, families, and those in need is paramount. Currently, we proudly support 11 distinct charities, detailed below. Beyond providing material and financial assistance, we actively engage with these organizations through monthly visits, fostering firsthand experiences and meaningful connections with the individuals we serve and care deeply about.
Fundación Escuelita Rayo de Sol
Fundación Entre Nosotros y Mañana Los Niños (ENED)
Escuela Hogar Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH)
Batey Lechería
Clínica de la Familia Romana
Fundación la Merced
Fundación Hogar Mercedes Amiama
Asociación Dominicana de Síndrome de Down (ADOSID)
Fundación Mariana San Isidro Labrador
Instituto Dominicano de Estudios Virológicos (IDEV)
Hogar Escuela Rosa Duarte
How does IWC select which charities to support and allocate monetary donations?
During March of each year, IWC initiates a call for proposals, inviting charities to submit funding proposals through an active member of our organization. Eligibility is extended solely to registered local NGOs with a focus on health and education. Subsequently, during May and June, the board diligently assesses the total funds raised throughout the year and determines the allocation of resources and funds.
How can I contribute as a member?
· Join our monthly charity visits
· Personally volunteer at one of IWC’s charities
· Attend the IWC fundraising and social events
· Monetary donations
· In-kind donations (goods handed out during charity visits)
